About Lake Nipissing

Lake Nipissing is the 3rd largest lake within Ontario, supplying water to the Great Lakes via the French River system. Historically significant and largely undeveloped, it presents the contrast between North Bay’s urban skyline and breathtaking natural vistas. Dotted by islands and surrounded by hills and escarpments, the lake is steeped in legends. Once explored by Samuel de Champlain, it has been used for logging, minerals, and transportation and is now a legendary fishing and recreational waterway. You are in for a true voyage of discovery on board the Chief Commanda II!
